Call for Submissions of One-Act Plays

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS


EBE Ensemble, a New York based theater company, is accepting submission for Elephants on Parade 2009, an annual two week festival of one-act plays.

Submission Guidelines:
- One-act plays under twenty fives minutes
- No more than three submissions per author
- Casts should not exceed five actors with doubling
- Special consideration will be given to plays that focus on characters under 30.
- Plays should have minimal set, costume, and lighting requirements

In addition to the play, all submissions should include:
- full contact information (email, phone, and mailing address)
- a writing resume (any other artistic resumes may also be included)
- a brief synopsis (less than 50 words)
- a complete character breakdown, including ages and any special requirements

All submissions must be received by November 24, but earlier submissions are encouraged. Selected playwrights will be notified by the first week in December. To submit by email (preferred), please send all requested materials in PDF or DOC format to info@ebeensemble.com. You will receive a reply with in two business days that your submission has been received. You may also submit via mail, but materials will not be returned.
